In a crossover program with Opus Now, pianist Lee Dionne performs Beethoven's fourth piano concerto, presented in a chamber arrangement with string quintet. The piece was comes from Beethoven's 'middle period' in 1805, and lives in contrast to the intensity of Beethoven's other works from this time, with is soft edges and lyrical poeticism. Lee is delighted to be joined by regular Hayes musicians including violinists Anna da Silva Chen, Beatrice Colombis, cellist Chris Pidcock and violist Marlena Stanhope.
